Year 7 - Covid News
21 Nov 2020
Dear Year 7 Parent/Carer,
NHS Wales Test, Trace, Protect trace everyone who have been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 (Coronavirus). They have contacted me today to inform me of a positive case of a Year 7 pupil.
YEAR 7 pupils in 7A and 7 Pennard have been identified as close contacts of this pupil and as such will need to self isolate for 14 days. All other Year 7 pupils can continue coming to school as normal.
The child who has tested positive was last in school on Thursday 19th November (test results were received today) therefore Year 7 pupils need to self-isolate with immediate effect until Thursday 3rd December inclusive. This means they are allowed to return to school and normal daily life on Friday 4th December.
Self-isolation advice requires you to ensure your child stays at home, does not go outdoors to exercise, not to visit shops, family or friends, or to other public spaces. Please do not invite people to your house.
Further information on self-isolation will be provided in a letter I will issue on Monday and when NHS Wales have provided the relevant letters and confirmations. Please do contact the school on Monday if you have any queries as I appreciate the stress that this news will cause.
Mr P Davies
